Ad Operations Specialist
For one of our clients, we are supporting a well-established Bulgarian digital media company operating high-traffic online platforms with millions of monthly users. The organization is entering an important modernization phase, investing in new monetization models, data-driven advertising solutions, and AI-supported products.
To strengthen their Advertising Operations function, we are looking for an Ad Operations Specialist – a detail-oriented, analytical professional who will take ownership of banner administration, campaign setup, performance monitoring, and advertising operations across the company’s own digital inventory.
This is a hands-on operational and analytical role, not a creative or client-facing marketing position.
Responsibilities:
➢ Set up, traffic, QA, and manage display advertising campaigns using Google Ad Manager (GAM);
➢ Administer banner placements, targeting rules, frequency caps, and delivery logic across owned platforms;
➢ Ensure campaigns are implemented correctly according to internal sales specifications (formats, visuals, texts, targeting);
➢ Monitor campaign delivery, pacing, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues;
➢ Extract, analyze, and prepare campaign statistics and reports for internal stakeholders;
➢ Work closely with the Sales team, providing technical parameters, feasibility input, and performance insights (no direct client communication);
➢ Support inventory management and optimization of owned advertising space;
➢ Use Google Analytics and reporting tools to support performance analysis;
➢ Work with tracking scripts, tags, and basic code snippets provided by advertisers (reading and validating, not developing);
➢ Participate in campaign planning discussions and contribute operational and data-driven input;
➢ Support the evolution toward internal tools and systems that unify ad operations and reporting.
Requirements:
➢ Previous experience in Ad Operations / AdOps or digital advertising operations;
➢ Strong hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM) – mandatory;
➢ Understanding of digital advertising concepts: impressions, CTR, frequency capping, targeting, CPM/CPC models;
➢ Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
➢ Experience extracting and working with advertising performance data and statistics;
➢ Comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets and reporting dashboards;
➢ Ability to manage multiple campaigns and operational tasks in parallel;
➢ Good written English;
➢ Structured, autonomous, and responsible working style.
Nice to Have:
➢ Experience with Google Analytics;
➢ Experience with Looker Studio / Google Data Studio;
➢ Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, or tracking scripts;
➢ Background in marketing data analysis, ad tech, or similar analytical roles;
➢ Experience working with large-scale digital inventory or high-traffic platforms.
