Automation Test Engineer

For one of our clients, we are looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join their team – a group that provides strategic automation and testing expertise across multiple global development initiatives.

Responsibilities:
➢ Analyze application design and code to identify automation opportunities and potential quality gaps;
➢ Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases, test plans, scripts, and data sets aligned with business requirements;
➢ Build and enhance test automation frameworks and reusable code libraries for long-term use;
➢ Coordinate closely with development teams to ensure features are thoroughly tested before deployment;
➢ Execute, monitor, and report on automated test runs, identifying issues early and driving resolution;
➢ Conduct post-release audits to verify production system stability and integrity;
➢ Maintain and continuously improve test architecture, test environments, and quality gates;
➢ Collaborate with Product Owners to define a modern automation strategy and improve testing methodologies;
➢ Develop automation scripts and functions for web applications using industry-standard tools;
➢ Ensure test documentation (plans, cases, results) is clear, complete, and consistently updated.

Requirements:
➢ Minimum of 2 years of profecional experience in Automation QA;
➢ Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Micro Focus UFT, Selenium, Cypress, or similar);
➢ Strong scripting skills and ability to develop automation for web-based applications;
➢ Familiarity with test data management, integration testing, and CI/CD processes;
➢ Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Octane or similar tools);
➢ Experience with Agile/Scrum environments is an advantage.

Nice to have:
➢ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
➢ Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Gherkin) and REST Assured is a plus;
➢ Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing;
➢ Strong experience with automation of API and web (React/Java) applications;
➢ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript;
➢ Experience with mobile testing or Playwright are huge advantage.
