ImpacT Hire is supporting one of our clients — a fast-growing international social commerce platform working with leading global brands such as Nike, Adidas, and many others. Their ecosystem enables businesses to share promotional offers, product reviews, cashback opportunities, and personalized inspiration, helping millions of users make smarter shopping decisions.
As the company continues to expand, we are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in building data solutions from the ground up. You will join a highly skilled Data team responsible for transforming how the organization stores, processes, and leverages data at massive scale — including datasets measured in petabytes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, optimizing high-load systems, and designing robust, scalable pipelines.
Responsibilities:
➢ Maintain, improve, and expand an in-house data warehouse used across the entire organization;
➢ Design, build, and manage ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified platform;
➢ Work with petabyte-scale datasets and optimize heavy, complex query loads;
➢ Develop frameworks ensuring data is trustworthy, secure, accessible, and up to date;
➢ Design, implement, and monitor data validation and integrity checks;
➢ Work closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to support data-driven decision-making;
➢ Integrate external data sources using REST APIs;
➢ Continuously improve data processing performance, storage efficiency, and reliability;
➢ Act as a driver of best practices in data architecture, modeling, and pipeline scalability.
Requirements:
➢ Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering;
➢ Strong experience in Data Warehouse design and development;
➢ Proficiency with ETL tools — ideally Airflow (knowledge of alternatives like SSIS is a plus);
➢ Solid understanding of databases: optimization, indexing, troubleshooting, partitioning;
➢ Expertise with columnar databases, especially ClickHouse (table engines, materialized views, query optimization);
➢ Strong SQL and Python skills;
➢ Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs;
➢ Experience building and managing data integrity & validation frameworks;
➢ Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, IAM roles & permissions;
➢ Excellent communication skills in English, comfortable working in an international environment;
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is considered a plus.
Nice to Have:
➢ Experience with real-time data processing or streaming architectures;
➢ Background in large-scale distributed systems;
➢ Experience with infrastructure-as-code or containerization (e.g., Terraform, Docker).
What We Offer:
➢ Dynamic, collaborative, and friendly work environment;
➢ Open and transparent communication culture;
➢ Opportunity to join a high-performing, impactful Data team;
➢ Remote-first role with flexibility;
➢ The chance to work on massive-scale datasets and modern data tooling;
➢ A meaningful role in a fast-growing international Social Commerce platform.
If you are passionate about building scalable data systems, optimizing heavy workloads, and shaping the future of data-driven decision-making, we’d love to hear from you.
