DevOps Engineer with Python

We are supporting a global technology organization developing advanced medical software used in life-critical environments. The team is building a next-generation platform for surgical planning and cardiac procedures — a high-impact product in an early phase, where engineering decisions shape long-term outcomes.
To strengthen the team, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with solid Python experience, able to onboard quickly, work autonomously, and contribute to both cloud infrastructure and backend-related automation.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security;
• Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, and backend utilities using Python;
• Work with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and IaC best practices;
• Participate in system design discussions and evaluate technical decisions across a complex backend architecture;
• Collaborate with DevOps and backend teams in a large international environment;
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and cloud-native workflows;
• Troubleshoot cloud, deployment, and integration issues; propose stable long-term solutions;
• Contribute to a high-impact product where engineering work directly influences medical outcomes.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience;
• Strong Python experience for automation, tooling, and backend-related tasks;
• Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM);
• Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts;
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment workflows;
• Good understanding of backend fundamentals (APIs, microservices, distributed systems);
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with FastAPI or other Python backend frameworks;
• Experience in MedTech or other regulated industries;
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or cloud security practices.
