Java Team Lead

We are seeking a Java Team Lead to join our client’s team who will play a key role in building cross-cutting infrastructure solutions used across multiple systems and services.
This is a hands-on leadership position combining technical leadership, architectural thinking, and active coding, with direct impact on the system and its evolution.

Responsibilities:
➢ Design, develop, and maintain cross-system infrastructure components supporting multiple services;
➢ Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high engineering standards and effective collaboration;
➢ Participate actively in architectural decision-making and system design;
➢ Work hands-on with coding, integration, and implementation of infrastructure solutions;
➢ Design and implement solutions related to configuration, observability, logging, resiliency, and security;
➢ Collaborate closely with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders;
➢ Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of distributed systems;
➢ Support and improve development processes within Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements:
➢ 5+ years of experience in Java development within enterprise and distributed systems environments;
➢ 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or team management;
➢ Strong experience with microservices architecture (design, development, documentation);
➢ Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway, S3;
➢ Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases;
➢ Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems;
➢ Strong system-level thinking and ability to design cross-cutting infrastructure solutions;
➢ Hands-on coding experience alongside architectural responsibilities;
➢ Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git;
➢ Good command of English.

Nice to Have:
➢ Experience with financial or regulatory systems;
➢ Experience integrating AI tools in development workflows;
➢ Strong focus on observability, resiliency, and system reliability practices.
