React Developer

We are seeking a React Developer to join our client’s team – a leading provider of smart ticketing and transport management software in the UK. This role is ideal for a front-end developer with a solid JavaScript background who enjoys working in Agile teams and thrives in a dynamic environment with real-world impact on public transportation systems.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Web Development team that creates and maintains web services used by partners and customers across the UK. This includes working on new features and the ongoing development of corporate and auxiliary websites. The client is a small-to-medium enterprise known for its technical excellence, customer service, and market-leading transport software solutions. With over 20 years in the industry and technology trusted by millions of passengers, this is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful, scalable systems that power essential transport services daily.

Responsibilities:
➢ Develop and test new user-facing features for customer and partner-facing web platforms;
➢ Build reusable, modular code and libraries for future use;
➢ Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability;
➢ Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and validate user input before submission to back-end services;
➢ Collaborate with team members, including developers, testers, and project managers, in an Agile environment;
➢ Prototype new technologies and contribute to the design and architecture of web systems;
➢ Research and recommend front-end technologies to improve product capabilities;
➢ Support and extend existing applications, resolving performance issues and debugging client-side code.

Requirements:
➢ 2+ years of experience with React;
➢ Familiarity with jQuery and TypeScript;
➢ Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap (responsive design), and Adobe Photoshop;
➢ Experience with RESTful APIs and services;
➢ Good spoken and written English;
➢ Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.

Nice to have:
➢ Experience with Angular or AngularJS;
➢ Ability to test, debug, and optimize front-end code.
