Senior Machine Learning Engineer

ImpacT Hire is supporting one of our clients – an international product company developing a leading B2B SaaS platform that helps organizations automate financial operations, optimize invoice processing, and improve business workflows through cutting-edge AI solutions.
To support the company’s AI-first strategy, we are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who will play a key role in designing and delivering intelligent systems used across both customer-facing products and internal engineering processes.
While the primary focus remains on experienced Machine Learning Engineers, we are also open to exceptional Backend Engineers with a strong background in designing and building large-scale distributed systems. Experience with AI and Machine Learning is considered a significant advantage, but candidates with outstanding software engineering expertise, architectural thinking, and proven ownership of complex backend systems will also be considered.

Responsibilities:
➢ Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Machine Learning and LLM-powered solutions for both customer-facing products and internal business processes;
➢ Take full ownership of AI initiatives—from solution design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement;
➢ Build scalable backend services and APIs that integrate Machine Learning capabilities into production environments;
➢ Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable business value;
➢ Work with modern AI frameworks and tools to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable intelligent systems;
➢ Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design, scalability, and long-term platform evolution;
➢ Clearly communicate technical decisions, implementation approaches, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:
➢ 6+ years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Data Engineer;
➢ Strong Python development experience and excellent software engineering fundamentals;
➢ Proven experience designing and building scalable distributed systems and production-grade backend services;
➢ Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex technical solutions and drive them from concept to production;
➢ Solid understanding of system architecture, microservices, APIs, and distributed application design;
➢ Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and LLM technologies is highly preferred, including frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, or PyTorch;
➢ Exceptional Backend Engineers with strong distributed systems experience will also be considered, even if their AI/ML experience is still developing;
➢ Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ownership mindset;
➢ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional international teams;
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM-related field.

Nice to Have:
➢ Experience building and scaling LLM-powered applications;
➢ AWS experience and familiarity with cloud-native architectures;
➢ Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, Infrastructure as Code, or DevOps practices;
➢ Experience with NoSQL databases and real-time data processing;
➢ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
