Senior QA Automation Engineer

ImpacT Hire is supporting one of our clients — a large international digital technology organization building enterprise-grade solutions across logistics, retail, and supply chain operations. The company’s engineering teams work on high-impact products used daily across a major European group, and quality engineering plays a central role in enabling stable, scalable, and reliable systems.
As part of their expansion, we are looking for an QA Automation Engineers to join a cross-functional team working on logistics-related platforms. The role combines strong automation engineering skills with elements of test management and business analysis, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy both the technical and analytical dimensions of QA.
Responsibilities:
➢ Support international engineering teams with hands-on test automation expertise;
➢ Contribute to test management activities, including planning, structuring, and maintaining test processes;
➢ Act in a hybrid capacity across QA, Test Management, and Business Analysis when needed;
➢ Ensure software quality across web and mobile applications, following established workflows and best practices;
➢ Establish and maintain CI/CD-related testing processes using SpiraTest;
➢ Administer automated test execution pipelines on test servers and environments;
➢ Design and maintain automation frameworks for regression testing;
➢ Review and ensure quality and consistency of test cases across the team;
➢ Identify manual processes suitable for automation and work with developers to implement solutions;
➢ Collaborate closely with colleagues from Bulgaria and Germany within Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
Requirements:
➢ 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in test automation (mandatory);
➢ Strong experience with Java (Java 8 / JDK 1.8 minimum) — primary language for automation;
➢ Experience automating Windows desktop applications using tools such as Silk4J;
➢ Proficiency with test management tools, ideally SpiraTest;
➢ Ability to create clear test cases, test suites, and well-structured test documentation;
➢ Experience setting up CI/CD testing processes and integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines;
➢ Hands-on experience with remote test execution using SpiraTest Remote Launcher or similar tooling;
➢ Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban);
➢ Strong initiative, quality awareness, and willingness to proactively identify automation opportunities;
➢ Ability to collaborate with distributed teams across multiple countries;
➢ Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
Nice to Have:
➢ Experience acting as a Test Manager or advising teams in test planning and strategy;
➢ Experience creating or maintaining a test policy or QA process documentation;
➢ Familiarity with Eclipse IDE;
➢ Background in logistics systems or large-scale enterprise environments.
